Holly-Hunter

Holly Hunter, an American film and actress, is well-known for her stellar roles in movies such as Broadcast News The Firm The Piano The Incredibles. Her movie Piano earned her an Oscar. In her early years, the accomplished actress began performing on stage in various Broadway or Off-Broadway shows. Since the time she was in school, she portrayed Helen Keller in a play in the fifth grade. Mumps led her to lose hearing in one her ear, however this was not enough to stop the actress from following her dreams. After studying drama in college after which she relocated in New York City with her plans in mind. Hunter made her Broadway debut due to an accidental conversation and Beth Henley, a playwright. Together, they wrote for Broadway Crimes of the Heart. Her first film role came when she moved in Los Angeles. For the past 30 years she's appeared in various TV series and movies. Holly Hunter was awarded a Hollywood Walk of Fame Star as well as the Women in Film Lucy Award.
